Business Area Mekaniska manufacturers advanced components and complete products for customers in the engineering industry.
Mekaniska today supplies a large number of water filters to Alfa Laval for customers in the nuclear power and natural gas industries, for example. In the local area we supply saltwater pipes to Kemira and White Wool plants for Saint-Gobain Isover. Liedholms Mekaniska has built up considerable competence, over a long period, in pressure vessel production for Staal in Norrköping, among other companies where many thousands of pressure vessels were manufactured during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Today pressure vessels are supplied to Disab, Opcon, JBT Foodtech, MAN and Alfa Laval, among others.
Brake parts for trains (the Öresund train, among others) for ABB-traction, formerly Bombardier Transportation, and refrigeration machines for JBT Foodtech, are other examples of products that have been supplied for a long time.
