It is with pleasure that we can state that we have received approval from Bureau Veritas for BV Mode I.

The approval applies to one of our largest products in the marine sector. A BV Mode I approval means that we can approve and stamp the product with a BV stamp without Bureau Veritas inspectors having to be on site for inspection.

“We see the approval as a certificate that the Quality System we work on continuously works as it should and guarantees that products that leave Liedholms meet both the classification society’s and our customers’ requirements,” says Quality Manager Mats-Ola Greiff. He continues: “As we are certified according to the requirements of several different bodies and classification societies, we can benefit from these experiences when there is a new need for approvals.”

Liedholms are certified according to:

  • ASME, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers Manufacture of Welded Pressure Vessel, class U (Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels)
  • National Board (NB), The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspections (for ASME U)
  • PED 2014/68/EU
  • EN 13445
  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 14001
  • ISO 3834-2
  • EN 1090-1/2
  • BV Mode I

Depending on customer and industry requirements, we are also often reviewed by:

  • DNV ( Det Norske Veritas)
  • Lloyds Register of Shipping
  • BV (Bureau Veritas)
  • NORSOK
  • RMRS (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping)
  • RINA (Registro Italiano Navale)
  • ABS (American Bureau of Shipping)
